Indonesia is looking to India for inspiration. A high-level official from Indonesia recently met with the Indian government to discuss the possibility of adopting a programme similar to India's successful PM Poshan Scheme.

This scheme provides hot, nutritious meals to millions of students from pre-primary to Class VIII in government and government-aided schools across India. During the meeting, India's Ministry of Education offered valuable insights into the program's goals, scale, and various aspects like funding, meal planning, and monitoring.

Indonesia's Deputy Coordinating Minister for Maritime Resources, Mochammad Firman Hidayat, led the delegation. The positive discussions suggest that Indonesia is seriously considering implementing a similar program to benefit its own schoolchildren. This could significantly impact improving child nutrition and education outcomes in Indonesia.
