The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) hosted the third edition of the prestigious Water Sustainability Awards (WSA) on the eve of World Water Day. The event emphasised the need for collaboration and innovation to address water challenges and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Highlights:

  • Panel Discussion: Experts discussed water use efficiency, highlighting the importance of water audits and best practices for reducing industrial water consumption.
  • MoU Signing: TERI signed agreements with MAITHRI Aquatech and 2M Shan Engineering Solutions to promote innovative water solutions.
  • Chief Guest Address: Bharat Lal, Secretary-General and CEO of the National Human Rights Commission, emphasised the link between water access and socioeconomic development.
  • Water Champion Awards: Dr. Sonam Wangchuk (individual) and Paani Foundation (institutional) were recognised for their contributions to water sustainability.
  • Multiple Category Awards: Winners across diverse categories were announced, including POSCO Maharashtra Steel (Wastewater), Coca-Cola India (Water for All), NTPC Unchahar (Industrial Water Use), and more.
