The tailored evening combines the best of Indian and French cuisine to create a one-of-a-kind gourmet experience. Chef Prateek Sadhu will produce a meal that emphasises regional intricacies of Indian products and flavours that have never been offered on a global scale as part of his cooperation with Godawan. The meal will be coupled with Diageo India's world-class spirits, giving diners with a full sensory experience.

Godawan, Diageo India's handmade Single Malt Whisky, is crafted in Rajasthan, its provenance inspired by, and totally dedicated to the Rajasthani spirit of beauty in scarcity and sustainability. The combination of above 100°F heat and six-row barley, which requires less water, results in a whisky with extraordinary depth of flavour and a rich and nuanced character.

The menu "The Journey of India" pays homage to the tremendous diversity of food and culture found in India's four main regions and subregions. Inspired by the brand, the evening will tell a story of diversity and conservation through Chef Prateek's creations. From the inclusion of Tungrymbai from India's Northeast to a unique Millet Thoran, the meal is intended to offer an epicurean voyage across the country.

Chef Prateek Sadhu stated, "I am honoured to host the inaugural dinner for The Honourable Minister at the Cannes Film Festival." As a Chef, I believe in the power of food to unite people and establish important bonds. This evening is an opportunity to present the best of Indian food and culture to a global audience, as well as to highlight our country's unique culinary traditions. I am thrilled to be working with Diageo India and Godawan to provide a wonderful dining experience that honours the depth and diversity of Indian craft."

Miss World 2017 winner Manushi Chhillar, Academy Award winner Guneet Monga, Actress Urvashi Rautela, and Indian ace director Madhur Bhandarkar were among those who attended the inaugural dinner on May 16, 2023, at the Cannes Film Festival. "The Journey of India" promises to be a one-of-a-kind gastronomic experience combining the beauty and intricacy of Indian and French cuisine.
