Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (TCPL), a titan in the global food and beverage industry and a primary arm of the eminent Tata Group, has announced its ambitious sustainability targets for the fiscal year 2025–26. The company is fully committed to an eco-friendly future, and these targets are in line with the group's previously launched ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Strategy. The strategy focuses on four key pillars: #ForBetter Sourcing, #ForBetter Planet, #ForBetter Communities, and #ForBetter Nutrition.

TCPL represents an array of much-loved brands, including Tata Tea, Tata Salt, Tetley, and Eight O’Clock Coffee, among others. As a company, TCPL is committed to environmental and social stewardship. To this end, it introduced its 'For Better Living' ESG Strategy last year. This strategy aligns TCPL not only with Tata Group's 'Project Aalingana' but also with global regulatory frameworks.

Highlighting progress, the company reported an 18% reduction in Scope 1+ 2 emissions from 2020 to 2022, despite broadening their business horizons. Moreover, renewable energy now caters to 19% of the company’s energy needs. Noteworthy initiatives like “Project Jalodari” have allowed the company to recharge a whopping 314 million liters of water, primarily in Himachal Pradesh and Assam. Further strengthening their eco credentials, all of TCPL's beverage factories globally have achieved 'Zero Waste to Landfill'.

Peering into the future, TCPL is setting impressive goals for 2025–26. These encompass aspirations to become carbon neutral in Scope 1 and 2 emissions across all regions and ensure 70% of their packaging material is recyclable, compostable, or reusable.

Sunil D’Souza, MD & CEO of TCPL, commented on these commitments: "As we forge ahead on our transformation to a top-tier FMCG company, our sustainability goals remain paramount. The newly announced targets for FY 2025–26 underline our dedication to the ESG strategy set last year. Strengthening our sustainability approach is vital for a future-ready organisation, fortifying brands cherished by consumers and delivering unparalleled value to stakeholders."

About TCPL: An embodiment of Tata Group's food and beverage pursuits, Tata Consumer Products Limited boasts a diverse portfolio, spanning from tea and coffee to ready-to-eat offerings. Renowned for their extensive reach, TCPL has firmly established its footprint in both Indian and international markets.
